What was the highlight of Spring Hotel Bitácora

We are very happy about this hotel - the vacation was amazing!

Everything was great - the room is very big and the view is awesome. In general the hotel is amazing - it has good infrastructure - pools, bars, UP, SPA, aquapark and so on. The location is great as well. When we arrived - the hotel was overbooked and they asked us to stay for the first night in the partner hotel Vulcano - and because of this we were upgraded for free to have All Inclusive - that was very good from their side and were happy about it. The food and drinks in a bars and restaurant are of a really high quality. The fresh water is available at any floor and in a lot of places - that is very convinient. In general - we had amazing vacation and I can strongly recommend this hotel.

The bed adn bed sheets in the room were really good, but the bed is combined from 2 smaller ones - that were very movable and it was hard to keep it as a single bed so that it doesn't go in different directions. The concept of absense of towel cards and necessity of paying the 20EUR deposit for towels was not a problem - but a bit strange and inconvinient.

Food and facilities were good and staff were more than helpful

The hotel and facilities were great. The only issue we had was that a family who had friends staying at another resort were reserving pool beds for them and bringing them in to use the facilities. Staff at the Bitacora should be noticing this. I also think that parents with Children shouldn't be allowed alcohol around the kids pool when there's 2 adult only pools in the hotel.

The hotel was fine the dining area was very good plenty of choices the staff was excellent the pool area was great the fun bar had some excellent shows

The only thing for me the room we had was looking onto some sort of derelict building it would be great if the hotel purchased it and turned into something that could be used for hotel use

Good family hotel with some areas of concern.

All the facilities are in good proximity and enclosed, so it felt safe and enabled our eldest to have some independence. The pools were all warm enough. I'm a cold person and still found them fine. All the sun longers and pool bar have good visibility of all three family pools, which helped with kids. I'm different places. There are plenty of facilities on our doorstep. Shops, restaurants, etc. Overall, this is a great place to stay as a family, but I've noted some issues. But realise nowhere is perfect.

There is a problem with marajuana. We smelt it frequently every day around the hotel, especially over the children's club/play area. We had to call reception due to the smell becoming so bad on our hotel floor that the smell of it took over the corridors, and then our room. Which isn't really what we would expect in a no smoking building and a family resort. We paid for pool view, superior. Yet others without upgrade had a higher room with a pool and sea view. So I don't think the upgrade is worth it. We also were opposite the lift, which is very loud day and night. Request a room away from the lifts. Lobby toilets by the main restaurant were shut the entire week. Fun bar wasn't that fun with very rude staff who billed us after midnight when we weren't even in the bar and refused first aid for my child when I asked for ice so I had to go get help from another staff member. There was a confusion at the pool bar with an order and the staff got very defensive over what I had order which was irrelevant really seeing as we had all inclusive so it really made no difference what they put through. I just went without what I asked for to get away from the two staff. I understand the language barrier makes for errors, not a concern for me but clearly for them. Maintenence/cleaning very prompt. Issues get resolved almost instantly, and people are always cleaning. However, the room walls, skirting boards, etc, are not cleaned. Under bedside tables dirty. They are floating so easily to clean under. The bathroom was also not cleaned well during our stay, shower still dirty after room cleaned and around the sink area. Have seen higher standards in other 3 and 4 stars. Food could be better in the buffet restaurant at lunchtime. Extremely limited leftovers. This is a great place. These issues could be easily resolved.

Don’t tell you the upstairs roof area is extra would be handy to be told this on check in instead of the the rude staff literally having a pop at you as if you just robbed them of 60 euros and not accepting it was a honest mistake rude bunch of staff do well to remember you are still a guest at the hotel and should be spoken to in a professional manner absolute joke breakfast offering is insane but a lot of it ain’t hit enough cold beans don’t do it for me the egg lady smashing out omelettes was the best The spa is Awsome had a great stay all ruined by rude staff and the way I was approached
